Reliable - just upgrade the fans July 29, 2010
Reviewer: Dennis from Sharonville, OH United States
I have had this like a few years now. I also added a second light from coralife. I have to admit both lights had the same heat issues. I had to upgrade the fans in both units. They both produce the same amount and quality of light and light penetration. The coralife aqualight was $150 more than these lights. Save your money and buy these lights. When you first get them.. DO NOT BE SURPRISED your bulbs will be broken. Be prepared to replace them, and clean out your fixture. Better care in packaging and "handle with care" labels would probably help. Over all these lights are a good buy, just monitor them for the first week or two to make sure you don't get a smoker lol  :) .

48" PC w/moonlights May 2, 2010
Reviewer: Melvin Cain from Galloway, OH United States
Bought this unit because of the low price.  Have had it for 2 years now and have no complaints.  Works great.  Only thing i've had to fix, is the silicone bands to hold the lamps.  Replaced with silicone o-rings (red) from Graingers.  They have lasted 1-1/2 years so far with no hardening.

48" 260W PC Review March 8, 2010
Reviewer: Dustin Osborne from Greenfield, WI United States
I have had this light for just over two years.  I replaced the bulbs no problem after about a year.  I have been very happy with this unit given the price.  I have noticed that the bulb plugs get very hot and are starting to show signs of slight burning but the light is still working fine and I am not too concerned.  My guess is that I dont use the mounting legs and that traps in hot air.  I also would say that the equpment is not made out of the most durable material but that is probably why the price is so low.  This is my third odyssea product that I have had for at least a year and I am very satisfied.

GOOD LIGHT January 28, 2010
Reviewer: Fishguy from EVERETT, WA United States
I bought 48" PC in march 2009. Almost 1 year in service, I touched to feel. Yes, it 's hot. But not too hot to start a fire or get burned. I checked with others brand and compared. It's the same. I had one problem: one lamp was not lit; one of the lamp connection was loose. I took it apart and fixed it. It's cheap; so I fix and I am happy with that.
