Greeat light for the money!! very bright !! July 21, 2010
Reviewer: Dan Roos perfectionist at heart from Redwood City, CA United States
i Bought mine from the store , not online. this one is the newer model the one i also got. it includes 2 small fans on the left holes on the right has the outlet flow from the fans on the other side, so no fans are on the right fyi, its just an outlet for the hot air. i bought a extra removable fan that ill install in the middle. this light runs a wee bit hot so reducing the heat will help out longevity and tank temp. on the 4 fan covers 2 real and 2 fake, the covers have 2 rows of interlacing diffusers, so if your looking at the fan covers you can't see all the way through. so it has one higher than the other and imo reduces the flow of air in and out of the hood. i took a wire snip and removed the lower air diffusers so air (in theory) can have less resistance. i recommend hanging it or using legs for it. i put it directly on my acrylic covers and the light warped them with in 5 mins

I just hooked up this light and wow nice light for the price I did not get any broken bulbs and so far the light is working just right...I was scared to buy with all the bad reviews but did any ways and glad I did.     OK i know have had the lights for about 5 months and they are still working just like they did the first day....

Clock Setup May 16, 2010
Reviewer: Dan Roos perfectionist at heart from Redwood City, CA United States
This is the exact  info for clock from AT in San Bruno, CA

First, you need to set up the clock.

Then, hit the HQI or ACT. BLUE or LED to set up the three sections individually.

After you have the clock set, All sections should be at OFF position as indicated by the arrow underneath the time shown.

Then, hit the section you need to set up, for example HQI, twice, then arrow will point at AUTO
Hit PROG, You will see ON shown on the left of the time in the display
Set the MIN and HOUR you want the set up to be turned on
Hit PROG again.

To set the time off, hit the same section, for example HQI three times, The arrow below the time will now point at AUTO again
Hit PROG
Hit the HQI button again until you see OFF shown on the left of the time in the display
Set the MIN and HOUR you want the set up to be turned off
Hit PROG

Repeat above on other sections.

this is off a piece of paper they gave me, hope this helps

Holy Cow April 29, 2010
Reviewer: Rita Ragan from Havre de Grace, MD United States
I was mildly skeptical about these lights, but received them yesterday and installed them last night.  No instructions, but had husband with common sense and had them up in just a few minutes.  I put this on a 75 gallon heavily planted tank and the amount of pearling has more than doubled.  There are air bubbles on almost all of the plants, even the spikey plants.  I'm am pleased, but, I've only had he fixture for a couple of days, so hopefully it will last.  I'm going to buy one for my 20 gallon as soon as they become available.
